Green building practices attempt to balance environmental and community responsibility, efficiency, comfort and style. We've seen how recycled, recovered and refurbished materials can add character and fuel efficiency, as well as limit negative impact on the environment.

The act of restoring an old house is in itself environmentally responsible. The old-growth forests which were harvested to construct the homes of yesteryear consisted of woods not commercially available today. This dense heart-wood was used throughout the construction process; from the framing lumber to the window sashes and interior trim materials. When possible, we rejuvinate or re-purpose these precious materials. And when building new, we help you select workable, beautiful materials that reflect your style and environmental responsibility.
